Plashet Year 9 visit Barclays Canary Wharf
20 Year 9 students had the opportunity to go to Barclays at Canary Wharf today, we had a very interesting talk by Josh - a post sanctions manager (the department that sends out the paperwork for agreed loans to businesses) about presentation skills.
We then we're split into 4 groups and had to then prepare a presentation to answer a variety of questions on women in business.
We then had a quick break and went on to the 'speed dating!' -Not really! We just had 2 minutes to talk to a Barclays volunteer about their role and our aspirations!
After a tour of the building and visiting the 30th floor! We found somewhere to eat lunch and came back to school.

Year 10 LionHeart Challenge
On Monday 7th October the winning group from the LionHeart Enterprise challenge day held at Plashet in June travelled across London to arrive in foggy Wembley to take part in the Regional Final held at the national football stadium.
The day was challenging from the start - as soon as we arrived we were sorted out into our job roles and given the challenge in the opening ceremony!

Year 8 Future Options Day
The Year 8 had a 'Future Options Day' on Wednesday 10th July 2013, This involved an Actorshop drama presentation, meeting an Employer from Lee Tunnell or The Foriegn and Commonwealth Office, a Further Education provider, either NewVic or the London Academy of Excellence and a University, either Gonville and Caius College Cambridge, University College London or East London University.....
The students have rated the day overwhelmingly positive, and many of them have felt that it has made them start to think about what they would like their career paths to be...
